The work will run in the core period from April to August 2012 and essentially comprise 40 km of track renewal with ballast cleaning, plus 35 level crossings. Parallel to the track renewal, several switches and tracks will be rebuilt with new track boxes in ten stations. The contract is therefore worth a total of approximately 16,000,000 euros.

In this very demanding project, a total of nine concrete switches of various sizes from EW190 – EW1200 are to be completely renewed from 30.03. – 10.04.2012, including the installation of a FPL. In addition, there will be approx. 1,200 m of track renewal with ballast renewal and work on drainage, cable ducts and the overhead line. The contract volume for this project is approx. 3,000,000 euros.
